If it was acting up when you had it at the Ford dealer I would think they would be able to diagnose the concern. I am not there diagnosing the concern somebody else is. If it were me I would have replaced the smart junction box and your problem would have been resolved on your first visit.

The GEM module is no longer called a GEM but instead its called the SJB (smart junction box) which is also the interior fuse panel as well. You will find it behind the RH side kick panel below the glove box See it HERE.
